Training Curricula

ATS Specialized develops and delivers specialized training programs in all of the below subjects for all types of organizations and employers. ATS has delivered this type of training to over 300 major organizations and over 5,000 trainees over the last ten years. This training can take place at the ATS training location or at the employer’s location. ATS owns a fleet of over fifty pieces of equipment located at our fifty acre campus in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin. ATS also employs twelve full time instructors who will travel to remote locations for training and testing in any of the below subjects. These specialized training programs can be customized to meet the employer’s time and cost requirements.

Crane Operator Training & Certification

The ATS Crane Operator Training and Certification Programs include:

  • Small Hydraulic – Fixed Cab (Boom trucks)
  • Large Hydraulic – Swing Cab (Rough Terrain)
  • Lattice Boom - Crawler
  • Lattice Boom - Truck
  • Articulated Boom (Knuckleboom)
  • Digger/Derrick
  • Overhead Cranes
  • Service Trucks
  • Tower Cranes

Students in these programs are prepared for and tested on the written and practical exams for certification through the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) ™. The NCCCO crane operator certification is one of the most widely recognized crane operator certifications in the lifting industry. ATS is approved by the NCCCO as a test site for both the NCCCO written and NCCCO practical exams.

Rigging & Signal Person Training, Certification or Qualification

RIGGING / SIGNALPERSON - QUALIFICATION PROGRAM

  1. Meets OSHA standard (1926.1400) for qualified riggers and signalpersons.
  2. Includes written and practical training and testing.
  3. 8 to 12 hours depending on number of candidates.
  4. Qualification compliance card issued by Associated Training Services upon successful completion.

RIGGING / SIGNALPERSON - CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

  1. Exceeds OSHA standard (1926.1400) for qualified riggers and signalpersons.
  2. Includes written and practical training and testing.
  3. 32 to 36 hours (4 days) depending on number of candidates.
  4. Certification issued by National Commission for Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) upon successfully passing certification exam.
  5. NCCCO Rigging Level One and NCCCO Signal Person Certifications upon successfully passing certification exam.

Heavy Equipment Operator Training & Qualification

ATS has over thirty years of extensive experience teaching people how to operate all type of excavation and earthmoving equipment. Following are the heavy equipment subjects taught by ATS:

Truck Driving Training Programs

ATS also offers Commercial Driver License (CDL) training for both Class-A and Class-B commercial motor vehicles. These truck driver training programs are designed to teach a person the skills and knowledge needed to drive commercial motor vehicles and to get their CDL. ATS instructors are extremely knowledgeable about what it takes to pass the CDL written exams and road test. Instruction in these programs includes classroom, yard/field practice (backing, pre-trip inspection, coupling/uncoupling), and road driving.
