Crane Operator & Rigging / Signalperson Training Programs

ATS offers a variety of crane operator, rigger, and signalperson training programs designed to certify or qualify the trainee. These programs can be delivered at our fifty acre campus in Wisconsin or at an employer’s location anywhere in the U.S. These programs can also be customized to meet the time and cost needs of the employer.

Trainees in the NCCCO programs are prepared for and tested on the written and practical exams for certification through the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO) ™. ATS is approved by the NCCCO as a test site for both the NCCCO written and NCCCO practical exams.

Mobile Crane Operator Prep/Test ONLY Training for NCCCO Certification

• Experienced operators being paid by a business only
• 1 Week, Monday through Friday
• Any two combinations of above mobile crane types
• Preparation and Testing for NCCCO Certification

Rigger/Signalperson Training for NCCCO Certification

• NCCCO Rigger - 1 & Signalperson, 3 - 4 days
• NCCCO Rigger - 2 & Signalperson, 3 - 4 days
• Rigging & Signalperson written and practical training
• Testing for NCCCO Certification

OSHA Compliant Rigging & Signalperson Qualification

• Experienced operators being paid by a business only
• 1 day
• Written and practical training and testing
• OSHA Compliant Rigger/Signalperson Card issued

Beginner Level Crane Operator Programs – ATS Location

ATS offers two beginner level Mobile Crane Operation programs and a NCCCO Rigger/Signalperson Certification program every three weeks at our facilities in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.

MOBILE CRANE OPERATIONS – 1

• Beginner Level Curriculum
• 3 Weeks, Monday through Friday
• Fixed Cab (small hydraulic or boom truck) Mobile Cranes
• Swing Cab (large hydraulic or rough terrain – RT) Mobile Cranes
• Preparation and Testing for NCCCO Certification

MOBILE CRANE OPERATIONS - 2

• Student must have successfully completed Mobile Crane Operations -1
• 3 Weeks, Monday through Friday
• Lattice Boom (Crawler and Truck) Cranes
• Articulated Boom (Knuckleboom) Cranes
• Preparation and Testing for NCCCO Certification

MOBILE CRANE OPERATIONS - 3

• Student must have successfully completed Mobile Crane Operations - 1
• 3 weeks, Monday through Friday
• Tower Cranes
• Digger Derricks
• Preparation and Testing for NCCCO Certification

RIGGER/SIGNALPERSON Training for NCCCO CERTIFICATION

• 1 Week, Monday through Friday
• Rigging & Signalperson written and practical training
• Testing for NCCCO Certification
